Welcome to Hotel Tenancy Gangtok, Sikkim

The beautiful hill state of Sikkim lies on the eastern tip of the
Himalayas bordered by Bhutan, Nepal and Tibet. It is believed that
the name Sikkim is derived from the Limbu word "suhim", meaning "New
House" or "Happy Home". Sikkim’s size belies the richness of
culture, customs, heritage, flora and fauna which will enrich you.
Sikkim is a small stretch of rugged land just 115 km by 65 km
sandwiched between the kingdom of Nepal in the West where the
Singalila Ridge forms a natural border and the Kingdom of Bhutan in
the East. Towards its Northern border is the plateau of Tibet
whereas in the South, the Tista and Rangit River forms a natural
boundary with the state of West Bengal.
